Husika-Afrika – Kiswahili for ‘Africa Get Involved’ – Is a foundation that seeks to encourage mass active involvement in Leadership and Governance agendas across the continent of Africa.
Through our work in Kenya and parts of Africa, we work with young people and women in an attempt to find ways and create structures and opportunities that will help them become self-reliant – physically, mentally, socially and financially.
This is an annual two-day community activism festival that brings together activists and the community at large to celebrate art and culture and the contribution everyone has made in making our communities and society better. We prefer to have the festival in a public place and have everyone attend for free because we know that in one way or the other everyone has done something. It however costs us so much to plan, organize and stage the event. We therefore request you to make a contribution of any amount to enable us do better next time. If you want to partner with us in this way or any other way, don't hesitate to reach us on firstname.lastname@example.org$0.00 donated

In Kenya; Fichua Somo - Kiswahili for 'unearthing education' - is an ongoing campaign that creates awareness about the physical and mental needs of students; and seeking to find solutions through partnerships and sponsorships from interested parties. Through Fichua Somo, we mobilize basic educational materials such as books, writing materials, shoes, backpacks, give scholarships, connect volunteer tutors with needy schools and students to offer capacity etc., for primary and secondary students. We also mobilize and give free sanitary towels and products to needy girls from low income households and communities; as well as teach them how to make reusable towels.$0.00 donated
